ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly (NA), Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, met with Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday and discussed the country’s overall political and economic situation.
Finance Minister talked about economic challenges
According to a news release, the minister said the current government inherited economic challenges and that all necessary actions will be taken to bring relief to the public in the next financial budget. He added that the present economic team was working around the clock to get the country’s economy back on track.
He thanked the NA Speaker for his kind words about the current economic team. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that political stability is necessary for economic stability and that economic strength is necessary for the country’s progress.
He added that despite the present coalition government’s economic troubles, lowering the price of petroleum goods was the right decision. He complimented the minister and his team for their efforts to ensure economic stability.
