ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced the Pak ID mobile app through which the public will be able to get a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) online.

NADRA has provided modern facilities, refraining people from long queues at the centers. After completing the process through the mobile app, the applicant could get their ID documents on their doorstep.

Through the NADRA Pak ID mobile app, fingerprint verification, photo upload, and online payment have been made easy.

NADRA spokesperson said that now FRCs, CNICs, and even CNICs for overseas Pakistanis could be issued online.

NADRA Updates Fee for Smart ID Cards Renewal

Earlier in December last year, NADRA updated the fee for the renewal of smart ID cards.

The NADRA smart card is a national identity card with the addition of a chip that helps log information. With an additional layer of biometric verification, it secures identity and other important records.
