Nation Honours Heroes on Police Martyrs Day

ISLAMABAD: To honour the fallen heroes, the nation stands united with the law-enforcement agencies which have dared to do the impossible in defending the country from both inside and outside threats.

Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police is a reminder to honour the sacrifices made by these unsung heroes who have gone miles and miles to bring peace at the home front.

Nationwide ceremonies are held in different police premises and glowing tributes are paid to heroes who sacrificed their lives in the line of fire.

It is their hard work and commitment that bore fruits in the form of peace as they sacrificed their lives in protecting the nation against terrorists and criminals.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is the hallmark of courage and commitment as it made the maximum sacrifices in protecting Pakistan from terrorists and criminals.

The day also marks the eighth death anniversary of Commandant Safwat Ghayur the brave who commanded the Frontier Constabulary KP Police and was martyred in suicide blast near police headquarters.

He set the marker for the department and many followed his footsteps with dedication and devotion giving hope to public that they are there to serve and protect.

All police headquarters nationwide are honouring their martyrs.
