ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday paid a rich tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan–i-Haider) on his 66th martyrdom anniversary, lauding his valor and sacrifice while safeguarding the country.
In a statement, the President said that the nation saluted the brave son of the soil who rendered sacrifices of his life for the nation’s defense while fighting the enemy and setting an example of courage and gallantly.
“The entire nation feels proud of its martyrs. The Pakistani nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs,” the president said and prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of Major Tufail Shaheed in paradise.
