KARACHI: Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Nawaz expressed his determination on Tuesday to propel the Karachi Kings into the playoffs of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking at a press conference, Nawaz stated, “The Kings will be a fresh challenge for me, and I aim to make a significant contribution to the team’s success this season.” Reflecting on his current form, he mentioned, “I’m pleased with my performance, but I’m constantly striving to enhance my skills.” When asked about the looming T20 World Cup, Nawaz commented, “There’s still some time left for the World Cup.”
He shrugged off the pressure of being labeled a match-winner, asserting, “I don’t let such expectations affect me.” Emphasizing the competitive nature of cricket, he remarked, “In cricket, players are always under scrutiny, but consistent performance is key to retaining a spot in the team.”
