MURREE: Pakistan’s ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that justice in reserved seats had been served even without seeking it.

He was referring to the recent Supreme Court verdict on reserved seats that declared the opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) eligible for its shares in 170 reserved seats in the National Assembly and provincial assemblies.

“Why has injustice been done to this country,” questioned Nawaz Sharif during a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

He lamented the setbacks faced by the nation under what he described as regressive policies.

Nawaz Sharif noted PML-N’s efforts to end dependency on the IMF, only to see a return due to what he termed flawed policies.

The former premier instructed officials to alleviate the burden on the public amidst soaring electricity bills and persistent inflation.

The meeting also addressed the Chief Minister Solar Panel Financing Scheme, with Maryam Nawaz urging swift completion of project paperwork.
