LAHORE: Ex-senator belonging to Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Chaudhry Saud Majeed claimed that the Supreme Leader of the party, Mian Nawaz Sharif, was planning to return to the country in the month of Ramazan.
He expressed his views while talking to the media persons at the ‘Meet the Press’ program held at Bahawalpur Press Club here on Wednesday.
Nawaz Sharif to arrive in Pakistan before Eid-ul-Fitr
He said that he had visited the residence of Nawaz Sharif in London and held a meeting with him, adding that Nawaz Sharif was likely to arrive in Pakistan a couple of days before Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The former senator also credited Nawaz Sharif for putting the country on track for development and progress. “Credit goes to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for initiating mega development projects, constructing motorways, and making the country an economic hub,” he said.
He said Pakistan got rid of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) program during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, adding that the national exchequer had enough reserves and the economy was improving.
