ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistani Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim-League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif is expected to travel to Saudi Arabia in the last Ashra of the holy month of Ramadan, where he will spend the last ten days of Ramadan in the holy cities of Makkah and Madina. Moreover, the PML-N leader is also expected to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in the Kingdom.

The news of Nawaz Sharif’s visit was reported by a private news channel, which stated that the former premier, who is currently residing in London due to his health issues, plans to travel to Saudi Arabia soon.

However, no official confirmation has been given by the Sharif family or the PML-N.

It is worth noting that last year, doctors had advised Nawaz Sharif against performing Umrah, the Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah, due to his health condition. According to the news channel, Nawaz Sharif had intended to perform Umrah and spend the last ten days of Ramadan in Madina, but his London-based doctors had advised against it.

Nawaz Sharif has a long history of medical issues and has spent a significant amount of time in London for treatment.

He was recently granted permission to travel to the UK for medical treatment and is currently residing there with his family.

Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia creates buzz in political circles

The news of Nawaz Sharif’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia has created a buzz in political circles, with some speculating that the trip could have political implications, given his status as a prominent opposition figure in Pakistan.

However, it is unclear if the visit is related to any political agenda or is solely for religious purposes.

In any case, Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be closely followed by his supporters and opponents alike, given his status as a prominent political figure in Pakistan.
