LAHORE: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo, Nawaz Sharif, on Saturday evening arrived in Lahore, marking his long-awaited return to the country after spending four years in self-imposed exile. The veteran politician, a three-time premier, landed at the Lahore airport and was warmly welcomed by a jubilant crowd of charged workers, supporters, and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Upon his arrival, Nawaz Sharif made his way to the Badshahi Mosque, where he offered maghrib prayers. Emotions ran high as tears streamed down the cheeks of Maryam Nawaz, who stood on the stage, eagerly awaiting her father’s return.

Accompanied by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif then proceeded to the venue of the PML-N rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Greater Iqbal Park. The atmosphere was electrifying, with supporters waving party flags and banners, and singing the newly-released party anthem, as Nawaz Sharif’s helicopter made a grand landing at the Royal Fort.

Celebrations in Connection with Nawaz Sharif’s Homecoming

Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming was celebrated with aerial floral showers and massive caravans of PML-N supporters pouring into Lahore from all corners of the country.

Speaking about the rally, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif expressed his confidence that the Minar-e-Pakistan event would be a historic one.
