LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has claimed that PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was poisoned in captivity, adding it made his platelets go down.

In an interview with a local TV, Maryam Nawaz said that when her father was fighting for his life, it worried several people adding that it made them permit Nawaz Sharif to leave Pakistan. She said, “Time will disclose that PTI chief Imran Khan was also part of this [plan]”.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz claimed that Nawaz Sharif was fully able to steer the country out of present problems and challenges. She believed that Pakistan was progressing in every sector under the leadership of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
