QUETTA: The newly elected members of Balochistan Assembly will take the oath on Wednesday after the general elections in Pakistan. Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has convened the first session of Balochistan assembly.
Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, the outgoing Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, will chair the session and administer the oath from the newly elected MPAs. Following the oath-taking ceremony of the recently elected members of the house, the election schedule for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will also be announced.
Earlier, MPAs of Punjab and Sindh Assemblies also took oath and now will elect the speakers and deputy speakers of the provincial assembles. The ECP also issued party positions in the National Assembly of Pakistan and PML-N emerged as leading party in the lower house of the parliament.
