ISLAMABAD: China Cultural Center in Pakistan and the Cultural Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan have launched the “Nihao! China – 2024 Silk Road Tourism Overseas Promotion Online Season”.
Organized by the Network of International Culturalink Entities (NICE) in collaboration with various Chinese entities and provincial tourism departments, this event spans from June to October 2024.
Its objective is to promote the Silk Road spirit of peace, cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit. It aims to showcase the natural beauty, diverse ethnic cultures, and rich cultural heritage along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
Activities include a launching ceremony, global broadcast of themed videos, the “Glory of Millennia – Silk Road Photo Exhibition”, exhibitions on Silk Road cultural and tourism resources, and overseas promotion events under the banner of “Nihao! China”.
To enhance the event’s influence domestically and internationally, the NICE, in collaboration with Hainan Province’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports, and the Sanya Municipal People’s Government, organized the Opening Ceremony on June 24 in Sanya, Hainan, China.
The ceremony spotlighted Hainan’s rich cultural heritage, tourism offerings, and promoted Hainan’s tourism routes, products, and inbound tourism policies to global audiences. This initiative aims to expand Hainan’s international tourism market and bolster precision marketing efforts overseas.
As a pivotal hub of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Hainan is strategically aligning with the Belt and Road Initiative and free trade port construction, striving to deepen global engagement.
