TEL AVIV: Israel’s military on Tuesday said an anti-tank missile fired by Lebanon’s Hezbollah group injured nine soldiers.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari accused Hezbollah of committing war crimes, despite the fact the country itself has killed about 20,915 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in relentless bombardments since October 7.

On November 20, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli shelling had targeted the Saint George Church in the border village of Yarun, causing damage.

The skirmish between Hezbollah and Israel has seen escalation since the Israel-Hamas war started raising fears of a wider conflict.

Hezbollah says it is fighting against Israel in support of Hamas. More than 150 people have been killed on the Lebanese side in recent days.

On Tuesday, Israeli bombardment injured two people in the town of Tulin, near Israeli border. Hezbollah has also claimed a series of attacks against Israeli troops and positions.

The Israeli raids have almost destroyed entire neighborhoods in northern Gaza. Israeli ground troops have been facing heavy resistance from Hamas fighters in the area.

The UN has said that some 1.87 million Palestinians, over 80 percent of Gaza’s population, have left their homes because of the Israeli bombardment of the besieged enclave.
