ISLAMABAD: Noman Ali became the first Pakistani spinner to get a hat-trick in Test cricket as Pakistani spinners ripped through the West Indies batting line-up on the first day of the second Test match underway in Multan on Saturday.
The tourists won the toss and elected to bat first. By 68, they were six wickets down.
Six of them were shared by Pakistani spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan.

Noman Ali bagged four wickets including a hat-trick for just nine runs.

Sajid Khan took two wickets for 26 runs while debutant fast bowler Kashif Ali claimed one wicket for 11 runs.

WI in dire strait
The West Indies were forced to leave out injured Jayden Seales, making room for experienced pacer Kemar Roach.
Amir Jangoo will be playing his first Test after replacing Keacy Carty, according to Geo News.
World Test Championship
The series is part of the World Test Championship’s third cycle with Pakistan ranking eighth and the West Indies ninth and last.
Addressing a press conference at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Friday, West Indies captain Brathwaite said his team was determined to bounce back in the second Test against Pakistan to level the series.

Brathwaite emphasised the need for his team to show resilience and confidence despite the challenges posed by spin-friendly pitches. He said that the team would try to put up a bigger score this time.
