ISLAMABAD: Ayaz Sadiq, the nominee for speaker National Assembly position by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has submitted his nomination papers for the house position, local media reported.
Amir Dogar, and Junaid Akbar Khan from SIC submitted their papers for the speaker and deputy speaker positions respectively. Similarly, Ghulam Mustafa Shah from Pakistan Peoples’ Party has submitted his nomination papers for deputy speaker slot.
Secretary National Assembly of Pakistan has accepted the nomination papers from candidates contesting for speaker and deputy speaker positions of the House.
Earlier, newly elected members of National Assembly have taken oath at the 16th opening session of National Assembly today. Talking to media at parliament house, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif termed it an “enmity” against the nation to write a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). His remarks come just days following PTI founder penned a letter to the IMF regarding Feb 8 general elections.
