SEOUL: A high-level North Korean delegation is visiting Russia, the North’s official KCNA news agency said on Sunday.
The visit led by a high-ranking agricultural official is the latest exchange by Moscow and Pyongyang, which are grappling with chronic food shortages.
Ri Chol Man, the vice premier of the cabinet, left for Russia Saturday leading an Agricultural Commission delegation, said KCNA.
Alexander Matsegora, the Russian ambassador to North Korea, said in a Facebook post Ri’s schedule will be “very heavy.”
