SEOUL: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed hope to promote cooperation with China, local media reported on Saturday.
According to North Korea’s official news agency KCNA, Kim Jong Un expressed these remarks in a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping. The letter was in reply to the congratulations President Xi sent for North Korea’s founding anniversary in the current month where Xi had expressed his will to enhance strategic communication and cooperation.

Jong Un said in the letter sent on Thursday, “I believe … North Korea-China cooperative and friendly ties would gradually develop in conformity with the necessities of the new era and the wish of the two sides peoples in the future,”.
