November 6 is Day of Great Kashmiri Martyrs: Speakers

MAKKAH: In a function held in Makkah, speakers paid heartfelt tributes to the Jammu martyrs, declaring November 6, 1947, as the day of the great martyrs, Kashmir Media Service reported.

During the event organized by Kashmir Committee, Jeddah, President Masood Ahmadpuri, Jammu and Kashmir Community Chairman Sardar Waqas, and others condemned the brutal actions of Indian forces and honored the memory of the Jammu martyrs.

The speakers expressed their grief over the relentless martyrdom of Kashmiris spanning over seven decades. They emphasized that Kashmiris have kindled the flame of freedom with their blood, striving for independence from India. The speakers shared their belief that the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will achieve freedom from Indian rule.

Among those present at the event were prominent figures such as Muhammad Aamil Usmani, Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Yusuf, Nasr Iqbal, Sardar Khan, Aamir Ghani Mir, Jan Gulzar, Sharif Zaman, Dr. Arif Khurshid, Fazal Rahman Memon, Chaudhry Khurshid Matyal, Abdul Latif Abbasi, Engineer Arif Mughal, Kamran Anwar Baig, Sardar Muhammad Ashfaq Chaudhry, Sardar Iqbal, Chaudhry Maroof Hussain, Sardar Mehtab Sarwar, Raja Shamroz, Raja Riaz, Raja Maroof Akhtar, Pirzada Waheed Khaksar, Engineer Nauman, Tasadeq, and Sardar Mustafa Khan, among others.

The event was a solemn remembrance of the sacrifices made by Kashmiri martyrs on this significant day.
