CHRISTCHURCH: Pakistan suffered a seven-wicket defeat against New Zealand in the fourth match of the T20I series against Pakistan in Christchurch on Friday.
Despite Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten 90 runs, New Zealand’s run-chase stumbled to 20-3, but Glenn Phillips and Daryl Mitchell’s formidable partnership of 139 runs in 93 balls secured victory with 11 balls to spare. Both Phillips and Mitchell scored fifties, while Mohammad Nawaz’s quick-fire 21, including three consecutive sixes off Adam Milne, added firepower to Pakistan’s innings.

Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry claimed two wickets each for the home side. Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 159 runs, with Rizwan scoring 90 runs in 63 balls, supported by contributions from Mohammad Nawaz and Babar Azam.
