SOPORE, Occupied Kashmir: In a show of frustration and desperation, the residents of Checkroday Khan village in Sopore, located in the Baramulla district of Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, have taken to the streets to protest against the chronic water scarcity that has plagued their area for many years.

According to reports from Kashmir Media Service, the villagers have endured a prolonged shortage of drinking water, and their pleas for assistance to resolve this pressing issue have fallen on deaf ears. Despite their persistent complaints, the authorities have failed to address their longstanding problem.

Residents of the village have been left with no choice but to consume unhygienic water sources due to the unavailability of clean drinking water. This dire situation has given rise to severe health concerns within the community, as they grapple with the repercussions of inadequate access to a basic necessity.
