OGDCL Discovers Oil and Gas Reserves in Pakistan’s Sindh Province

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) of Pakistan has discovered huge oil and gas reserves in Pakistan’s Sindh province. The discovery was made during the project titled Chak 5 Dim South 3 in the District Sanghar of Sindh province.

These huge oil and gas reserves have opened a new avenue to mitigate the energy demands of Pakistan and will serve as a huge exploratory research area for Pakistan’s oil and gas sector.

They said that development project named ‘Chak 5 Dim 3 project’ ongoing in Sindh Province of Pakistan for exploring the oil and gas is OGDCL’s in-house expertise exploratory well.

The well was drilled down up to 3400m. The exploratory well has discovered 2000 Barrels of Oil per Day Gas (BOPD) and 1.30 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD).
