JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed concern over the current wave of violence in Senegal, the OIC said on Thursday.

A statement issued by the OIC said, “The General Secretariat of the OIC has followed with concern the recent developments in Senegal, which have resulted in loss of lives and devastation of properties.”
The world body called for the preservation of calm in the African country. It added that to encourage talks to preserve peace and stability in the country to serve the supreme interest of the Senegalese people.
