JEDDAH: Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha mourned with profound grief and sorrow the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed away on Saturday.
The Secretary-General expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Al-Sabah family and the government, leadership, and people of Kuwait on this sad occasion and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless and repose the soul of the departed and grant the Kuwaiti people the courage to bear the loss.
OIC Chief Commends Late Emir
The Secretary-General commended the qualities of the late emir as a devoted father of everyone in Kuwait, a nation of solidarity and humanitarian support, and for the achievements he recorded for his state.

The Secretary-General said that the late emir represented one of the key pillars of security and stability in his nation and the region and a strong supporter of joint Islamic action.
The OIC head prayed to Allah Almighty for lasting security, stability, and prosperity for the State of Kuwait and its people.
