BAKU: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has commended Azerbaijan for its commitment to ensuring transparency in the upcoming presidential election through the use of advanced technology.
Yousef AlDobeay, the OIC Assistant Secretary-General of Political Affairs, met with Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC), on Monday during his visit to Azerbaijan, as reported by the ‘Election 2024’ Independent Media Center.
AlDobeay, part of a delegation invited by the CEC to observe Azerbaijan’s extraordinary presidential election, expressed gratitude for the invitation, highlighting Azerbaijan’s active role within the OIC. He emphasized that the OIC Charter unequivocally supports democracy among its member countries.
“I would like to request that you share Azerbaijan’s experience following the successful conclusion of the presidential election. The deployment of cutting-edge technology vividly illustrates Azerbaijan’s dedication to conducting transparent presidential elections,” stated AlDobeay.
