OIC Condemns Ankara Suicide Bomb Attack, Extends Solidarity to Turkiye

JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack that occurred outside the Interior Ministry building in Ankara, Turkiye, on Sunday morning.

The OIC Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended the organization’s solidarity to the Government of Turkiye.

In an official statement, Taha conveyed the OIC’s heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the attack. He reiterated the OIC’s unwavering stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to promoting peace, security, and stability within its member states.

The suicide bomb attack, which targeted the heart of the Turkish capital, has drawn widespread condemnation from the international community. Turkiye’s allies and partner organizations, including the OIC, have expressed their support for the country during this challenging time.
