JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the heinous massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of over 70 citizens and the injury of dozens more.
According to an OIC press release on Sunday the organization sees the atrocity as a continuation of the many massacres, ethnic cleansing and acts of genocide perpetrated against the Palestinian people in open violation of international values, United Nations resolutions, conventions and relevant orders issued by the International Court of Justice.
The OIC stressed that the ongoing escalation of war crimes, starvation, destruction, forced displacement, targeting of displaced persons, and the prevention of humanitarian aid delivery are a stain on the conscience of humanity. The organization urged the global community to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for these war crimes and end the policy of impunity.

The OIC reiterated its urgent call to the UN Security Council to fulfil its responsibilities by imposing an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, ensuring urgent humanitarian access to all areas of the Gaza Strip and providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
