JEDDAH: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, had telephonic talks with President Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan on Saturday 10 February 2024, a statement said.
According to the statement, the Secretary-General has congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his re-election and also wished him every success in his high office.

The OIC chief also affirmed that his re-election testifies to the confidence placed in him by the people of Azerbaijan to continue his high mission of consolidating stability and peace and ensuring the continued development and prosperity of the central Asian country.
OIC Congratulates Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev on His Re-election
Hissein Taha reiterated to President Ilham Aliyev and his Government the OIC’s congratulations for the efforts undertaken for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the territories liberated after the conflict with Armenia.
On his part, President Ilham Aliyev expressed Azerbaijan’s gratitude for the continuous support given to his nation by the OIC and reiterated his promise to working further for the ideals of the OIC and joint Islamic action, the statement maintained.
