JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned in the strongest terms the two bomb attacks on March 22, 2024 in the capital city of Kabul and Kandahar city in southern Afghanistan.

The suicide bomb attack in Kandahar left many dead while over a dozen others injured. No reports about deaths have yet been available for the Kabul blast.

The heinous twin terrorist attacks occurred during the holy month of Ramadan, resulting in massacres of Afghan civilians during a time of spiritual devotion and piety.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, while acknowledging the obvious improvement in the security situation throughout Afghanistan, has called on the authorities in Kabul to increase efforts against terrorist organizations that continue to operate in Afghanistan.

The Organization expressed its deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims of the deadly explosions and wished the injured a speedy and complete recovery.
