OIC Inaugurates New Headquarters in Jeddah’s Al-Rayan District

JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has begun its operations at the new headquarters in the Al-Rayan District, northeast Jeddah, following the completion of the move from the previous headquarters. The new headquarters provides enhanced capabilities for the OIC’s work, supporting its operations and activities.

On this occasion, Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the host country, and the chair of the 14th Islamic Summit. 

He thanked the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for their consistent material and moral support to the OIC and its organs. He also acknowledged the Kingdom’s support for joint Islamic action, ensuring the smooth progress of the OIC’s work, emphasizing that the new headquarters will enhance the OIC’s performance.

The Secretary-General also thanked Prince Faisal Ibn Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for his facilitation and support to the OIC, enabling it to fulfill its duties.

He noted that the OIC General Secretariat has already commenced operations at the new headquarters, where several meetings have taken place in the last few days. He assured that the building is fully prepared to receive guests of the OIC and host various activities.
