OIC Secretary-General Attends Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh

RIYADH: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, on Friday participated, in the Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh, an OIC statement said.

According to the statement the summit is hosted by Saudi Arabia under the theme: “Fruitful Partnership”.

The Summit is attended by a large number of leaders and heads of government, and representatives of African countries, including the African Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

It is designed to strengthen fruitful partnerships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and African countries in various sectors.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated the Summit in Riyadh.

Chairing the meeting, the Crown Prince welcomed the participants on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the first Saudi-African Summit.

He strongly condemned the military aggression in Gaza Strip, the targeting of civilians, and the continued violation of international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupying authority.
