JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called to respect the internationally recognized status of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and for the reversal of all illegal and unilateral Indian measures taken on or after 5 August 2019.
An official statement of OIC on Monday said August 5, 2024, marks the fifth anniversary of the unilateral revocation of the special status of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The OIC reiterating its decisions and Council of Foreign Ministers’ resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir, expressed its full solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their quest for their right to self-determination.
Furthermore, the OIC calls upon the international community to enhance efforts for the settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute on the basis of relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
