JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday strongly condemned the continued Israeli massacre and war crimes, especially the carnage in the Jabaliya Refugee Camp carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, destroying a residential district and killing hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians.

The OIC has urgently called upon the international community to intervene immediately, urging an end to this brutal Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians. The organization stressed the necessity of providing international protection for innocent Palestinian civilians, ensuring the delivery of essential supplies, and extending urgent and enduring humanitarian assistance to the affected population.

Over 8,796 Palestinians Martyred in Gaza by Israel

Tragically, the health ministry in the Gaza Strip reported a staggering death toll of 8,796 Palestinian people since Israel launched brutal air strikes on October 7. Among the casualties are 3,648 children, and 22,219 people have been wounded, according to the health ministry statement. The Israeli attacks have also resulted in the loss of 132 medics and the destruction of 25 ambulances, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

In response to the escalating situation, ambulances transporting injured Palestinians have been allowed to enter Egypt via the Rafah crossing, which reopened for the first time since the conflict began. The crossing is also facilitating the departure of some dual passport holders and foreign nationals, providing a lifeline for those seeking safety amid the ongoing violence.

Meanwhile, the Senate of Pakistan issued a passionate plea to the Muslim Ummah, calling for active involvement in resolving the Gaza-Israel conflict. Senator Irfan Siddiqui expressed deep concern over the collective silence of the Muslim world in the face of the Israeli brutalities against innocent Palestinians. He emphasized the urgent need for immediate action, highlighting the daily violence that continues to claim the lives of thousands.
