According to the SPA, the OIC called on the international community, the UNSC to assume its responsibilities and duties towards imposing a truce that would put an end to these continuing Israeli crimes that led to the death and injury of over ten thousand innocent people, mostly women and children, in flagrant violation of global humanitarian law.

The organization stressed the need to effectively and sustainably deliver humanitarian help to Gaza and to ensure that Israel, the occupying power, respects its responsibilities under global law.

Meanwhile, Gaza Health Ministry said 178 people have been killed since truce ended in the Gaza Strip.

According to Arab media, 178 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory on Friday following fighting restated after the end of a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Israel restarted its lethal bombardment of the Gaza Strip shortly following the week-long ceasefire expired at 0500 GMT.
