On Pakistan Day, PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Overcome Economic Challenges

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on Pakistan Day, said that, being cognizant of the major challenges Pakistan faces, the government was determined to pull the country out of crisis.

Despite various challenges including inflation, unemployment, circular debt, fiscal and trade deficits, and terrorism, the government was determined to lead the country towards economic recovery and prosperity through a comprehensive policy reform framework.

In his message, the Prime Minister praised the resilience of Pakistanis and their ability to endure extraordinary circumstances. He assured citizens that measures would be taken to stabilize the economy, reduce inflation, and bring relief to the people.

Highlighting the recent general elections and the formation of governments at federal and provincial levels, Prime Minister Shehbaz called on Pakistanis to unite and uphold the values of peace, progress, and stability. He emphasized the importance of following the footsteps of Pakistan’s founding fathers to build a cohesive nation.

Reflecting on the historical significance of March 23rd, the Prime Minister mentioned the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which paved the way for a separate homeland for Muslims based on Islamic principles. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by millions during the partition and the challenges faced by the newly formed state.

Despite the initial hurdles, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the resilience of the nation in overcoming obstacles and establishing Pakistan as an independent democratic state.
