ISLAMABAD: In another incident of cross-border aggression, Afghanistan forces on Thursday fired mortar shells into Pakistan at the Chaman border crossing which resulted in the death of one civilian and 12 injuries.
According to the Pakistani officials, the Afghan forces opened unprovoked and indiscriminate fire by heavy weapons on the civilian population in Kali Musa near the Chaman border. The cross-border fire prompted Pakistan armed forces to retaliate. The fire claimed one life and at least 12 people including two women as well as children were injured, the officials said further. They said that the casualties were shifted to district headquarters hospital.
Second such incident on Chaman border
Deputy Commissioner Chaman has confirmed that one civilian has died. This is to mention here that Thursday’s was the second incident of cross-border aggression by the Afghan forces this week.
