One Killed, 20 Injured as Blasts Rock India’s Kerala

KERALA: One person was killed and at least 20 others sustained injuries as a series of explosions occurred during a Jehovah’s Witness meeting in the Kalamassery Convention Center in the Kerala state of India on Sunday morning.

The blasts, which took place during the religious gathering, resulted in a chaotic scene. Ten persons sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a burn unit, with two of them currently on ventilators, as reported by The Times of India. Preliminary investigations suggest that an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the attacks, although further details about the nature of the device were not immediately available.

A national security team has been deployed to the site to conduct a thorough investigation into the blasts. Officials are working diligently to determine the motives behind the attack and identify those responsible.

The Kalamassery Convention Center, a popular venue for various events, was hosting a Jehovah’s Witness meeting at the time of the explosions.
