One Killed in Blast in Pakistan’s Quetta City

QUETTA: At least one person was killed in a blast near Spinny Road in Quetta, the capital city of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, on Wednesday night.

After the blast, police cordoned off the area and started a search operation. The Bomb Disposal Squad was also called to inspect the scene.

The SHO of Kharotabad Police Station said that the deceased was a terrorist who exploded himself.

He said the alleged terrorist wanted to hit the nearby police checkpoint but failed. Explosives were found near his body.

Firing Incident in Quetta

Meanwhile, three people were shot dead over old enmity between two rival groups in the Siryab Road area of Quetta on Wednesday.

The firing incident happened over a property dispute, and the exchange of gunfire generated a sense of fear and panic in the surroundings.

It was reported that among those who were killed in the incident was Haroon Raisani, the nephew of former Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani.
