RAWALPINDI: The opening ceremony of the sixth International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition 2023 was held at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Pabbi on Tuesday.
According to ISPR, seven Pakistan Army teams and ten international teams, including teams from Bahrain, KSA, Morocco, USA, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, and Kazakhstan, are participating in the competition. Three observer countries, Myanmar, Azerbaijan, and Nigeria are also part of the 6th International PATS competition.
Sixty hours-long rigorous competition will continue from March 7 to 9. The competition is based on evaluating the combat teams’ physical endurance, mental agility, and tactical proficiency. Over the years, competition has gained much popularity.
PATS competition provides opportunity for sharing experiences
It has become an international PATS competition that provides an opportunity for participating teams to learn and share experiences with each other, particularly from the Pakistan Army’s experience in the fight against terrorism.
