ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive Officer of Pink Ribbon Dr. Umar Aftab has said that Pakistan has the highest rate of breast cancer in Asia and over 10 million women in the country are at risk of breast cancer.
In an interview with a local TV channel, he said a campaign has been running for the last 22 years to create awareness among women about the significance of early detection of breast cancer.
Dr Umar Aftab asked women to prioritize their well-being and get medical consultation without hesitation in case of any issue. He added that the government hospitals are now well-equipped for the treatment of breast cancer.

He also encouraged women to prioritize their health by undergoing timely mammography screenings.
Dr. Umar Aftab stated that Pink Ribbon has founded a dedicated breast cancer hospital in Lahore, offering free diagnostic services.
He also noted that within two months, the hospital will start providing surgical and chemotherapy facilities.
