Over 150 Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Receive Notices for Poor Matric Results

PESHAWAR: The Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has issued notices to more than 150 schools in the province over the poor performance of schools in matriculation examinations.

Over 150 principals, vice principals, and teachers have been issued show-cause notices by the provincial education department and asked to submit their explanations within 7 days, according to a notification issued on Thursday.

Notices have also been sent to 13 schools in Peshawar. An explanation has been sought from thirteen school teachers of different cadres in Peshawar, the notification stated.

The education department has directed these teachers to appear within 7 days of receiving the notice.

Parents have also expressed their dissatisfaction with the poor performance of the schools. They have urged the authorities to diligently work for the improvement of the education system and provide an environment in which students can effectively learn their lessons.
