RIYADH: At least 41,931 Palestinians have been killed and 101,113 wounded in over eleven months of Israel’s war on Gaza, said the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in its weekly report from the Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes against the Palestinians.

The report says that in the Gaza Strip alone, the death toll has reached 41,226, with 95,413 injured.

From October 7, 2023, to September 15, 2024, the OIC’s observatory documented a staggering 184,293 crimes and violations committed by Israeli forces.

This includes the demolition of 255 commercial facilities and 572 homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Moreover, Israeli forces have carried out 1,231 attacks and confiscations of Palestinian property, including heavy vehicles and cash.

In the past one week, between September 10 and 16, 2024, the observatory reported 21 massacres in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 238 deaths and 621 injuries. Major Israeli massacres include the Al-Mawasi massacre, where 40 Palestinians were killed and 60 wounded in an attack on a camp for displaced persons near Khan Younis, and the Al-Jaouni School massacre.

The latter, the fifth attack on a UNRWA-affiliated school, resulted in the deaths of 18 people, including six UNRWA employees.

Educational disruptions continue in Gaza, where students are facing their second year without formal education due to the ongoing conflict. In the West Bank, students face harassment from Israeli authorities and settlers. Recent incidents include the closure of a school junction in Al-Jiftlik, roadblocks set up by armed settlers in Al-Ma’arjat, and attacks on students in Imreiha and Al-Khader.

The OIC’s observatory reported 12 Palestinian deaths and 195 arrests in the West Bank over the past week. Israeli forces have also besieged hospitals, obstructed ambulances, and destroyed several mosques, including Al-Salam Mosque in Tulkarm camp. In addition to demolishing homes, Israeli forces have burned six houses in Tulkarm and seized another in Ni’lin, converting it into a military barracks.

Settler attacks have also surged, with 39 incidents reported over the past week. These attacks included the destruction of 101 olive trees, damage to agricultural structures, and poisoning of livestock. Settlers have also seized the Petra Hotel in East Jerusalem and stolen property in Hebron and Ramallah.

In Hebron, Israeli forces have confiscated 17, 897 dunums of land from Palestinian villages to establish a security belt around settlements. Settlement activities have intensified in occupied East Jerusalem, Nablus, and Tubas, with a total of 1,844 crimes and violations reported in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and occupied East Jerusalem between September 10 and 16, 2024.

The ongoing violence and settlement expansion continues to draw international concern and condemnation, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinians.
