Over 7 Decades Saudi Arabia has Provided $95b Aid in 160 Countries: FM Prince Faisal

Islamabad: During the third edition of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan disclosed that the total amount of aid that his country has provided over 7 decades has reached a total of $95 billion in 160 beneficiary countries around the world.

During the Forum, Prince Faisal confirmed that since Saudi Arabia’s founding, the country’s Kings have been harnessing its capabilities to benefit humanitarian issues, being a helping hand to mitigate the suffering of those affected, and in effect provide them with relief sans any racial or religious discrimination.

Kingdom has made progress in providing aid over the decades

The Prince added that in the midst of crises and challenges pertaining to geopolitics and economy, the Kingdom continues to make progress in its developmental and humanitarian giving, which resulted in making it at the forefront of donors of humanitarian and development aid to countries with low and middle incomes, with an amount that exceeds $7 billion.

Prince Faisal also elaborated that Saudi Arabia’s latest humanitarian efforts under the direction of King Salman and the Crown Prince were to operate an air bridge in order to provide various types of humanitarian aid, including organizing a popular campaign to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
