Over 9,000 Nomination Papers Submitted in Sindh for 2024 General Elections

KARACHI: The Provincial Election Commission of Sindh said on Monday that a total of 9,140 nomination papers have been submitted in the province for the 2024 general elections. The scrutiny process for these nomination papers will continue till December 30.

Among the total nomination papers, 2,555 forms were filed for the 61 general seats of the National Assembly, while 6,585 were submitted for the 130 general seats of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, according to a statement by the Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, Sharifullah.

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) code of conduct, Sharifullah directed all candidates to strictly follow the guidelines.

The scrutiny of the nomination papers is set to continue until December 30. Sharifullah assured that the ECP is fully prepared to fulfill its constitutional responsibility and will utilize all available resources to ensure the conduct of fair, free, and transparent elections.
