ISLAMABAD: More than 97,000 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage, with both government and private schemes facilitating their journey.

Under the government scheme, 65,000 pilgrims have arrived via 243 flights, while over 36,402 have arrived under the private scheme, reports Radio Pakistan Correspondent Bilal Khan Mehsud from Makkah.

The final flight from Pakistan is scheduled for Sunday, marking the conclusion of the month-long operation. Despite the large influx, the overall Hajj operation is proceeding smoothly, with Pakistani pilgrims performing their rituals in peace and discipline.

The Pakistan Hajj Mission (PHM) and Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) have urged the public to disregard rumors causing confusion and discomfort among the pilgrims.

Joint Secretary of MoRA, Sajjad Haider Yaldram, encouraged pilgrims to utilize the ministry’s online mobile service, the ‘Pak Hajj App,’ for lodging complaints or suggestions. He emphasized that online complaints are closely monitored by senior officials for prompt resolution. Pilgrims can also seek assistance from Moavineen personnel deployed at residential buildings.

Complaints can be lodged through the Pak Hajj App, WhatsApp, or by calling toll-free helpline numbers provided by the Pakistan Hajj Mission which are  00923376510003, 00923376510004, 00923376510005, and 00923063332555.

Muhammad Umer Butt, MoRA spokesperson, highlighted the ministry’s efforts in ensuring pilgrims’ well-being by deploying medical personnel. A total of 375 doctors and paramedical staff, along with 511 assistants, are stationed in Makkah to provide free medical services to pilgrims.
