He said the combined national narrative of Paigham-e-Pakistan was becoming a great source of providing a peaceful coexistence, tolerant and moderate Islamic society. He further said that the narrative discouraged and rejected all forms of terrorism, bigotry, hatred, and intolerance in society adding that those elements who harm innocent people, women, and children under the cover of religion have nothing to do with humanity.

Regarding the protection and basic rights of minorities, the Secretary said the state, which was established in the name of Islam faced scores of internal and external challenges, however, the religion of Islam and the Constitution of Pakistan guaranteed the protection of life, property, and honor of all minorities living here.

He said that there was no example in the history of Islam and religion discouraging using the jurisprudential and academic differences of ‘Masalik’ for sectarianism.
