PAJCCI President for Increasing Trade Volume Between Pakistan and Iran

PESHAWAR:  Zia ul Haq Sarhadi, Director Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) and President of Abbasyn Columnists Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday, called for increasing trade volume between Pakistan and Iran for economic stability in both sides.

 

During a meeting with the new In-charge Consul General of the Iranian Consulate General Ali Banafsheh Khaw, he said that currently, the bilateral trade volume is too low. If both countries address it, the trade could be increased to five billion dollars.

 

He said that both countries have strong religious, political, cultural, commercial, and historical ties, especially the business community of Pakistan pays great importance to its relations with Iran.

 

He emphasized the joint exhibitions on both sides and the exchange of delegations, saying that the two countries could consolidate the economic stability in the region by coming closer to each other.

 

He discussed Pakistan-Iran bilateral ties, the exchange of delegations between both brotherly countries, and the current situation of regional peace, and he also presented a book containing travel logs of columnists on their visit to Iran.

He also emphasized the increasing of bilateral trade volume as well as the exchange of delegations of columnists, businessmen, and journalists between the two countries.
