Pak Armed Forces Offer Condolence to Earthquake Victims in Turkiye

RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, armed forces of Pakistan, and the services chiefs have offered their most profound condolences to the earthquake victims in Turkiye.

On the instructions of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, the Pak Army has dispatched two contingents; a rescue team and urban search comprising sniffer dogs, rescue experts, and search equipment, as well as a medical team comprising nursing staff, army doctors, along with 30-bed mobile hospital, technicians, tentage, relief items, and blankets.

The aid contingents flew to Adana, Turkiye, via special PAF aircraft on the midnight of 6 and 7 February 2023 to undertake relief efforts for Turkish people while closely coordinating with the government in Turkiye, AFs, and their Embassy in Islamabad. The contingents will stay in the country until rescue and relief operations are completed.

Condolence and assistance

The armed forces and people of Pakistan stand with the Turkish brothers and sisters and extend all possible assistance in this time of need, the officials said.
