BEIJING: The 2023 Pakistan Week has concluded in Dujiangyan, Chengdu, Sichuan, China, APP reported on Friday. The week was scheduled from May 18 to May 24 in different cities of China. Themed “Working hand in hand for a closer Pak-China bond under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)”, the week displayed dazzling jewellery, hand-made rugs, and traditional Pakistani clothes, which brightly interpreted the combination of Pakistani and Chinese culture.
Agha Hunain, Acting Consul General of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu Children are their future. He added that he would visit Wanhui Academy in Dujiangyan, to hold discussion to representatives and discuss Pak-China ties.
Pakistan Week Concludes in China
During the week, the Chinese city of Dujiangyan and the Pakistani city of Murree inked a Letter of Intent for the constitution of a sister-city ties to cement people-to-people contacts and enhance cooperation.
During, Pakistan week, the military action movie “Parwaaz Hai Junoon” was also screened for Chinese to enjoy the attraction of the friendly nation on their doorsteps.
Sichuan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries said that the event will promote the understanding of local people about Pakistan, and effectively enhance the exchanges and cooperation between the two nations in fields of tourism, culture, trade, economy, and education.
The event was a significant part of the 2023 China-Pakistan Year of Tourism and Exchanges.
It included a Pakistani culture exhibition, a Pakistan tourism photo exhibition, a Pakistani film show, and a Pakistani culture lecture. APP
