Pak, Iran Pledge to Promote Religious Tourism

ISLAMABAD: Iran and Pakistan have pledged to enhance cooperation in facilitating pilgrims and promoting religious tourism.

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs Senator Talha Mehmood and Iran’s Minister for Pilgrimage and Ziaraat Syed Fateh Nawab in Makkah.

Speaking on the occasion, Talha Mehmood said the Memorandum of Understanding regarding Ziaraat of sacred places in Iran has been sent to the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan.

Mahmood expressed his utmost desire for the MoU to evolve into a formal agreement to foster enriching cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The Iranian Minister point up his country’s role in hosting and assisting Zaireen on their journey to Iraq. After finalizing the memorandum of understanding, he assured us to provide additional facilities to the Zaireen.
