Pak Navy arranges Fleet Annual Efficiency Competition Parade

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Fleet Annual Efficiency Competition Parade was held here on Thursday to celebrate the culmination of a rewarding and eventful operational year of Pakistan Navy Fleet units, said in a press release on Thursday

Addressing the gathering, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, who was also the guest of honor,  expressed his satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy Fleet and appreciated the dedication and professionalism of officers and men for the successful conduct of a large number of naval exercises comprising bilateral and multilateral exercises in national and international waters contributing towards the regional maritime security and defending of Pakistan maritime interests in the region and abroad.

The Naval Chief commended the PN Fleet’s efforts and contributions in attaining significant operational objectives and milestones and defending of Pakistan’s Sea Lines of Communication. He highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to ensure seaward security of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), Gwadar Port and maritime-related projects of CPEC.

Amjad Khan Niazi, reiterated that Pakistan Navy was fully cognizant of rapidly changing geopolitical realities in the region and stood resolute to defend the country’s sea borders.  He also underscored that the prevalent global and regional geostrategic environment need Pakistan Navy to remain ever vigilant and battle to protect Pakistan’s maritime interests.

Earlier, in his speech, Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami emphasized PN Fleet achievements during 2022 making particular mention of the conduct of numerous Live Weapon Firings, participation in multilateral exercises, HADR missions, Overseas Deployments, and Regional Maritime Security Patrols undertaken by Fleet units.

Later, the Naval Chief gave away Efficiency Award shields to the finest performing units of various Squadrons of the Pakistan Navy Fleet.
